24 Before 25 *Update*

#2. Craft room organized and I am slowly decorating it

#3. We have decided that we are going to knock down a wall in the living room and knock down another wall partially in the kitchen to open up that area more

#4. We have it organized (since it is also my closet) and ready for guests but it is not the way we want it

#5.(a) We did this until we ran out of goods.

#5.(b) BEYOND DONE!! I added all 4 in the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld and Cinder by Marissa Meyer

#6. Blake dates are done, I am working on setting up dates with the others

#7. I have passed on quite a few clothes to the sister & I am still sorting through more to get rid of

#14. Done and done we have a cleaning schedule (sort of) and it is working well. We tidy up the kitchen and areas we hung around in every night and do the main cleaning in other areas & outside on the weekends.

#15. I am failing on this, it started off good but now I am back to the bun everyday

#19. I am doing a bunch of this and I am loving it! Vacation helped with this.

#22. Done and my girl is real sweet

#23. I went out on a date with my cousin who was my best friend since we were 7 and we kind of faded after high school me in college and her moving to Chicago but we are hanging out more & cannot be more pleased

#24. I hung out in a bar, went to an outdoor celebration with tons of (smelly) people and the went out to eat on Friday night without getting sick.

Wedding Planning Update

It is official we have set a date and we have our venue booked and paid for!!!

 Yes March 2, 2013 is the official date! We had to wiggle around some other events around that time but we found the perfect date. Thanks to a little history.com hunting our date has some good stuff on it.

1904 Dr. Seuss was born
1966 Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang
1863 Texas declares independence
1793 Sam Houston was born

Sure bad things did happen on this day but I want to focus on the good.

Our venue is also a bit of Texas history. 

This picture is of the Lucas Gusher, and because of it Texas economy changed forever and brought my corner of Texas into the oil industry. The town around the gusher has been rebuilt and we have booked it! Plus after we get married they will shoot off the gusher just like above (but with water). 

On March, 2nd 2013 the Mr. and I will be on that platform expressing our love in front of our friends and family.

Book Club: Pretties

I enjoyed this book, not as much as the first book but I still enjoyed it. Scott started off this book right where the last book ended (which I kind of like). I do not like feeling like I have missed a huge chunk of the story and with his straight continuation I did not have to worry about this. I will have to say the one thing I really hated about this book was the Pretty-Talk, to use Scott's words it was crazy-making. I know it was just in my head but when I was reading and they were speaking in pretty-talk I heard Valley Girls and it was killing me. True I could have changed the voice in my head but that is how I pictured it.

Pinterest is a great place to find recipes or better ways to cook things. This Pin-xperiment was a new better way to cook breakfast.

The Result:

O yes I believe this is the way I will make cinnamon rolls for ever! This is so much faster to make them and so tastey! Plus you don't have to worry about the icing melting off an on the the plate. The squares keep the yummy icing on the roll.

My Latest Obsession

Like I said in a previous post I am currently loving embroidery. I love that it is instant gratification. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy crocheting but I cannot finish my blanket for the life of me. It is taking forever and I get bored with it quickly. Any whoo here are some of the things I have been working on.

This was my first attempt. I think the image is super cute, I found the sketch on pinterest.

Who doesn't love a Dr. Seuss quote? I have this guy framed in the living room. I think it is so cute and it fits since the Mister and I are both a little odd.

This is my book mark. I attached felt on the back. I am in the process of making one for The Mister's dad for his birthday.  I am seriously loving my new found hobby!

Book Club: Uglies

Have y'all heard of this series? I love it!!

Synopsis:  Tally Youngblood is a normal girl waiting to turn 16 so she can join her friend and be Pretty. All was going to plan until she meets a girl named Shay who does not want to become pretty. Tally learns more about her world then she ever thought possible and it changes how she sees everything.

This book has been showing up in my Audible, Amazon, and GoodReads accounts as a series that I would enjoy so I thought I would give in an read it...I am SOO glad that I did.
