I enjoyed this book, not as much as the first book but I still enjoyed it. Scott started off this book right where the last book ended (which I kind of like). I do not like feeling like I have missed a huge chunk of the story and with his straight continuation I did not have to worry about this. I will have to say the one thing I really hated about this book was the Pretty-Talk, to use Scott's words it was crazy-making. I know it was just in my head but when I was reading and they were speaking in pretty-talk I heard Valley Girls and it was killing me. True I could have changed the voice in my head but that is how I pictured it.
O yes I believe this is the way I will make cinnamon rolls for ever! This is so much faster to make them and so tastey! Plus you don't have to worry about the icing melting off an on the the plate. The squares keep the yummy icing on the roll.
In case you missed the last Pin-xperiment post here is my rating system:
Like I said in a previous post I am currently loving embroidery. I love that it is instant gratification. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy crocheting but I cannot finish my blanket for the life of me. It is taking forever and I get bored with it quickly. Any whoo here are some of the things I have been working on.
This was my first attempt. I think the image is super cute, I found the sketch on pinterest.
Who doesn't love a Dr. Seuss quote? I have this guy framed in the living room. I think it is so cute and it fits since the Mister and I are both a little odd.
This is my book mark. I attached felt on the back. I am in the process of making one for The Mister's dad for his birthday. I am seriously loving my new found hobby!
Synopsis: Tally Youngblood is a normal girl waiting to turn 16 so she can join her friend and be Pretty. All was going to plan until she meets a girl named Shay who does not want to become pretty. Tally learns more about her world then she ever thought possible and it changes how she sees everything.
This book has been showing up in my Audible, Amazon, and GoodReads accounts as a series that I would enjoy so I thought I would give in an read it...I am SOO glad that I did.
SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK AND ARE PLANNING TO!!
I like the results a lot! I think that I am going to do a better color combination next time. The Mister said it looked like I had dirty nails, maybe peach and pink or turquoise and blue?
Pam as a nail setter is my new bff seriously! I have the instant dry top coat and it still takes 1-2 minutes but it will still wrinkle the polish, with Pam I do not have that problem at all!
So after vacation I was exhausted! I went to a concert two days after I returned, then it was the Forth of July, and then an anniversary party that weekend. I have been BUSY. Three weeks without a solid week of work, and over 2 weeks of over 1000 posts in my GoogleReader. Basically I was feeling overwhelmed, and debating about not keeping up with the old blog. BUT, I did my nails from a pin on pinterest, and they did a breakfast from pinterest and fangirled out and I wanted to share it with y'all so I voted to keep the blog going because more things will come up and I will regret not having this place to share it, or have it in the future to remember.
So with out further adieu, the amazing concert I went to was Trout Fishing in America!!!
(Sorry for the bad picture quality)
I cannot tell you how excited I was when I found out about them being in town! I was beyond excited. I brought my VHS from 1989 for them to sign. They said it had been a while since they had signed one of them. Ezra and Keith were the sweetest and funnest guys I have met.
Their show was just as good as I remember from being little. They did the dinosaur growl and stomping during When I Was a Dinosaur. I love their banter back and forth, Ezra got on his knees and was mocking Keith. Keith took all the jokes in stride and mocked his giant friend back.
They did more than just kid songs, like Don't Touch My Stuff! based on when their van was stolen in Houston, TX. It is sad that their van was stolen but the song is good. They also sang 18 Wheels on a Big Rig originally by Heywood Banks.
They ended the night with Lullaby and it is the perfect end to any night. I left with a signed VHS, a shirt, 2 cd's, a children's book with cd, a free poster, a free download sent to my email, a picture with the guys, and mainly a great night I will cherish forever! I know I have talked about my love of this band a ton on here but I cannot help it, thy were a huge part of my childhood and I love sharing it with anyone who will listen.
