When CeeCee's mother unexpectedly dies her never home salesman father sends CeeCee to her Aunt's house in Savannah. The story takes you through what CeeCee experiences after the death of her mother and being up-rooted to the place her mother grew up.

What I thought:
I really liked this book. I did not get emotional and cry reading it, but it is a really sweet book that is truly touching.  This book is very quotable. The elderly neighbor lady and maid are the cutest and they have the best quotes in the book. I love reading southern lit. and this book is 100% southern.
