Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween all! I hope y'all have big plans for tonight. I am staying at home with the Mister and handing out candy. I am going to be dresses as a VooDoo doll, it is a costume from a few years back but I decided to reuse it. I am not a fan of the costumes at most costume shops, they are a little too revealing for my taste.

Tonight is going to be a quiet night cuddled up watching Halloween favorites like Young Frankenstein and Rocky Horror Picture Show. I cannot wait, I know I am such an old lady!.

What goodys are y'all handing out this year? Do y'all have a go to candy for Halloween? We are handing out Rice Crispy Treats... We live in a little neighborhood where everyone knows everybody so we can do hand made treats and won't get odd looks from parents.

Halloween Treats

Now I know you are thinking... What are you doing making Halloween treats when you should be getting your house presentable? Well, first off nothing is more important than making snacks with my baby sister. And, secondly.....OKAY I have no response to that. I know I need to work on the living room and get some pictures up here for you but I haven't had time. I have been home before 8 pm only one night this week and I did work on the room that night a bit. So there :P


Any who Little Miss had show -n- tell today, and when it is your day for show-n-tell you are suppose to bring snacks. Seeing how it is so close to Halloween and she just decorated pumpkins with my brother she wanted to make pumpkins. I have been seeing this floating around the interwebs so I knew it would be perfect!

The other ones may look a little fancier, but we had a blast making them! Little Miss was sneaking the mini Reeces and the icing with the Mister. I even got proof of the icing theft.



We had her sticking her tongue out all night as is was getting darker the more icing she ate.

Dreams

I have very vivid dreams, like when I wake up I remember the whole thing and it was like I was really there or I was watching a movie. I love that! I love remembering what happens in my sleep. Every morning I tell Mister about my dreams, but lately I have realized that I am dreaming of people that I barely knew in school. Last night my dream was about a fair or carnival where I was riding rides with people from high school that I knew but never spent time with. It is just strange to me, how can I so vividly remember what these people look and sound like when I barley spoke with them in school? This is not the first time this has happened I just find it odd. O well!
It maybe because I am just super tired, this past week the Mister and I started redoing the living room. I have pictures and will go into this in another post when I am able to make it to my sewing room to upload my pictures. Our hall is blocked by furniture, luckily only thing down the hall is my sewing room and the guest room.

Date Night

What a weekend! I had a date with my little miss and it was so fun. It was a quick little lunch date, because she had some birthday parties to go to but it was a fun time none the less. Check out that huge pizza she was munching on! We had some pizza after doing shopping. Amazingly she ate most of that thing. I love spending time with my sister, I really miss her since I moved out. But our little Saturday date was magical! I cannot wait for more just like it...Maybe even going to a pumpkin patch?

Things I ♥ This Week!

I do not know if I have mentioned this or not but I am about to go back to school to be a teacher! I am so excited! I want to teach 1st grade or art but I am going to get my certificate in EC-6th grade. So I am going to warn you now that most of my things I love this week are teaching related.

This is a cute setup for story-time and I have so many milk crates in my sewing room already. Plus I remember getting to the school with my Granny Pat(she was a lunch lady) and they had STACKS of milk crates in the back of the kitchen. Yeah they are not as pretty as the kind you can buy but milk crates are cheaper and sturdier.

Thrifting!

So I may have mentioned this before but I LOVE thrifting and garage sales! This past weekend I had some GREAT luck in my cheap shopping endeavors. I got these 2 cute cute aprons from an Estate Sale at 3 bucks total.Plus I got 32 canning jars ranging from pints to quarts for a total of 8 dollars! I don't think the lady knew what she had. She had a lot of the blue jars, but we let her know those were rare and we did not feel right paying the 20 cents she was asking.Check out these books 25 cents a piece! How awesome is that. The only thing that would have been better would be if they had If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. Mario for 1 dollar! YAY! I also got 2 big boxes of fabric for 5 bucks a box, but at last not pictures of that. *Face Palm*

Yummy Chicken Recipe!

As soon as I finished my last post I did another quick search in Pinterest & found it fast. If it was a snake it would have bit me...well no because the screen would stop it and if it was on the screen it would just be a video or picture. Ah ok sorry got lost on a tangent there. So the recipe:

Baked Parmesan Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 package Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix  (I used the off brand & it was still good)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (I used 3 whole breasts and that was perfect)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Mix cheese, dressing mix and garlic powder.

3. Moisten chicken breasts with water; coat with cheese mixture. Place in shallow baking dish.

4. Bake 20 to 25 min. or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.

This is how we had ours but, we decided that it would be best on topped with marinara with some pasta on the side. Basically it is Chicken Parmesan and so tastey. It was great the way we had it too.I highly recommend this recipe, and looking in Pinterest for more recipes. I would also like to thank momswhothink.com for posting this recipe. 

Lovely Days

I am love my week thus far! Monday Mr and I watched Blake while my parents when out on a date, I love my little sister! We made a fort and watched Rocky and Bullwinkle while eating pizza, then we went to DQ for some ice cream. It was magical. I miss not living with my parents and seeing her everyday but I am happy at where my life is right now. Tuesday we had a needy puppy since we got home late Monday, she did not care that I was cooking dinner she wanted to play and cuddle. But you know what? My dinner was worth her whining. I found the recipe on Pinterest but I cannot find it now *shakes fist in air* but when I find it I will be sure to post it. The Chicken was so tastey and juicy it was amazing!

This morning has been so great and will only get better when Mr and I go to his parents for dinner tonight! Plus how can your day be bad when outside your window is this view?

Plus when I am at work I can listen to audio books and remember how I was missing my fictional friends from The Legend of The Seeker? Well not any more I am on hour 9 of the 36 hours in the FIRST book! Yes can you believe it is 36 hours for just the first book in the series? I will be listening to this book for a while! And we all know my day is not complete without my sweet tea!I hope y'all's day/week is as good as mine! Talk to y'all soon.
