Best Week Ever = Shark Week

I have been on WANELO way too much lately, I think it may have even surpassed Pinterest... well no but close.  Anywhooo I have been scouring the interwebs for fun Shark Week stuff and I am loving these goodies.

I am having a Farewell to Shark Week Party on the 10th for my sister and nieces. We are going to eat sharky foods, do shark crafts, and plot shark attacks while watching the shows. I wanted to do a premier party but some of the littles cannot handle to bloodiness, so I have to prescreen the shows. I am not mad about it though I get a double dose of SHARK WEEK!!!!

Cross your fingers...Teacher Soon?!?

Hey guys I know I have been M.I.A. for a bit but I have been working my tush tush off. I am trying really hard to be a teacher, applying any and everywhere I can, making calls, writing emails, going on two interviews, working on a contingency plan, and working on organizing my house/ craft room for when I am a teacher and I need my craft room up and running.

I am seriously going to pull my hair out with how stressed out this is making me, most schools around me start class on August 26th and I have only had two interviews and the first one said I need more experience, The second one I am still waiting to hear back from hopefully early next week.(FINGERS CROSSED) I am hoping that I am able to get a teaching position before have to student teach for 6 months without pay. I am fully willing to student teach but I am concerned about the lack of income that comes with that, which is why I have been working on a contingency plan, AKA waiting tables or bartending or something of that nature.  I have been so stressed I have not even been reading my Ender's Game book, but I have been trying to calm my self down by planning what to wear on the first day of school. If I get a job - Fingers Crossed!

I keep looking at classroom decor but since I do not know what grade or subject I cannot predict how to decorate it.



What do you do to keep your mind off of things you cannot control, like waiting on a call back after an interview.

Sharknado = Win!

I said I would come back after I watched Sharknado to let you know what I thought..... I LOVED it!

It is not a show that I will buy and watch over and over again but I enjoyed it so much. I was not even able to embroider while I was watching it I was so into the show. Is it cheesy, yes. Is the acting bad, yes. Is it a traditional SyFy movie, yes!! Da'Hubby was not a fan of it at all. He was bored by it in the first few minutes but I just thought is was amazing. I recommend this movie for any cheesy film loving person.

SyFy does it again!

Guys I am so excited about Sharknado tonight on SyFy. I swear they are the greatest at making the cheesiest movies. The only one that I can honestly say I did not like was Sand Shark. Poor Brooke Hogan is not a good actress and this was blaring obvious in that movie. I am hoping Sharknado is much better.

I mean look at the poster for the movie, they know it is a cheesy movie. SyFy knows what they are doing when they make movies like this and I think they know people like me eat them up! I am a bit worried about Tara Reid being in the movie...Fingers crossed it is not another Brooke Hogan in Sand Shark. I will check back after I watch it to tell you what I thought.

And yes I have become completely addicted to snap chat! I am always sending pictures to my little brother. He is 16 and just got his first job and he has the sweetest girlfriend, so I like to check on him to see if he is being good during the day by snapchatting. Plus I get to make silly faces! Da Hubby is no longer effected by my faces.

Book Club: Speaker For The Dead

Last Book Club was about the previous book in this series. And let me just tell you, this book did not disappoint! I read it a little slower than Ender's Game, but it is still a great book and I cannot wait to start book 3.

What I Thought:

I have learned when I try to give a synopsis I always wind up giving away too much of the story so hopefully B&N didn't do that. LOL. So this books is nothing like Ender's Game despite being in the same series and by the same author. This is much less a war book and more of a look at the lives of the people. It discusses religion, how people are reacting to the death of the buggers, and it is like a totally different but equally talented author wrote it. I had so many emotions with Val and Jane. The Speaker (Ender) is not the same person we came to know in the first book but it is for the better. I cannot say that one book is better than the other because they are so different.

4 out of 5 

This one is left with a 4 because of the 'cliff hanger' ending. It is not a major issue since I already downloaded the next book, but if I had to wait a year between books it would have killed me. I will be re-reading this book.

End to a Guilty Pleasure

Yikes! That title sounds like a title to a dirty movie or book but my post is completely innocent I PROMISE!! Now, please tell me I am not the only one who was completely disappointed with the series finale of Secret Life of an American Teenager. 

I have loved this series as a guilty pleasure, and now it is over and I have so many questions left unresolved. 

Will Ben and Amy get together? Who will Ricky(my favorite) end up with? What about Henry? There are so many questions about him - how will he cope with the military, what about the distance between him and Alice, if the show got a spin-off would he die in battle? What about Grace would she finally live for herself or would she go looking for someone else like Grant? Will Amy finally quit being selfish? What about John? Whatever happened to Ashley, she was not even in the finally (except flash backs). 

I really hope they have a spin-off so I can have answers to my questions. There were times I seriously hated this series but it is a train wreck that I cannot stop watching. I have to know what happens.
