Educational Honeymoon?! Pt 1

Da Hubby and I decided that for one week we would go to museums, aquariums, NASA and whatever we felt like for our honeymoon. We learned about CityPass which if you have a city near you that accepts it, you should try it! A guy I work with told me about it and for $80 dollars The Mister and I had 5 activities that we could do in Houston. Included in the pass was Space Center Houston (NASA), Downtown Aquarium, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston Zoo, and The Children's Museum of Houston. All were so much fun except the Children's Museum but I will talk about that later.

On day 1 we hit up Moody Gardens and I could have stayed there the whole entire week! It is an aquarium, zoo, rain forest, movie theater, playground, heck it is just about everything.

 
   

 

And this was just 2 of the pyramids of  Moody Gardens! My camera died before we went into the Discovery pyramid and I played on a theremin, Da Hubby played a harp and a bunch of other instruments. Not to mention we watched 3 videos a Shark one which was awesome and talked about conservation, a 4D Wizard of Oz where we were poked, squirted in the face with water, blasted with wind, and had our legs tickled so it felt like we were in the move, or the RideFilm that was basically a stationary roller-coaster with a film in front of us ( da hubby got a bit nauseous on that one - kind of jerky) .

After we left about 5 oclock we were starving, we ate pretzels for lunch (we had a huge breakfast), so we thought it was only fitting to eat at Rain Forest Cafe. Oh My Goodness the burgers were so GOOD now they are not Willy Burger good but I was not expecting that good of a burger.  Da Hubby has there pictures since my camera died but we just played on the monkey outside of the restaurant.

Big News!!!

Sorry about the hiatus but I am now officially MARRIED!!

These pictures were taken by the wonderful Melina and I loved them. This is from the bridal portraits, I have not gotten the wedding pictures yet but I cannot wait to show them to y'all. Da Hubby and I had a blast on our honeymoon and I will absolutely post pictures once I go through them all (I have TONS)

Wedding Wednesday! - 31 Days to go!!!

My plan was to show you pictures from the Wedding Shower over the weekend but I have not gotten the pictures yet. I barely had my camera with me, but my Aunt decided she would take all the pictures for me and I have not gotten them yet. I am so thankful for her for doing that for me as well as for all the friends and family who showed up to wish us good luck. Well I guess I will just have to tell you what we have planned for the honeymoon.

We are going to take the 'long' 1 hour trip to Galveston for our honeymoon and I cannot wait! We live so close but I cannot tell you the last time I have been there.

The Mister Has never been to Moody Gardens, we have yet to go to the zoo as a couple ( that is in Houston but not too far way) and we are going to spend a week doing things we keep putting off but really want to do. I love the museums in Houston but haven't been in so long. They opened a new pier on Galveston Island and I didn't even know! I have not been over there since before Hurricane Rita in 2005. I want to see how much has changed in the area! I know it was destroyed but it was nothing compared to the great hurricane of 1900. I love the history of the town and the laid back nature of it. I know we will have a blast and we will take tons of pictures.

Wait I am wrong I was in Galveston with my MOH May 2007 for a girls day trip. But that is still 6 years ago! (can we please acknowledge how short my hair is in this picture).

Hopefully next week I will have wedding shower pictures for y'all!

Texas Renaissance Festival and Proposals

The Mister ans I attempt to make it out to The Texas Renaissance Festival every year and this year we had a BLAST!!! I wish my phone was not dead the majority of the time so I would have more pictures. I made sure to save some battery life for a proposal.

We met Dim n Wit The Fairy Brothers. Ya the Mister Enjoyed that.


And we were able to see this guy! He is out there every year and each time we see him we are in a trance. I am so sad he did not do better on AGT, but at least we still get to see him.

We took some pictures at the outdoor chapel to set the stage for a proposal.


They started dating at Ren. Fest 2 years ago and so he felt he needed to propose there too. I think they may even get married there next year and I cannot wait! They are the cutest couple, and are the sweetest people ever.


I tried the Jacob's Ladder, I fell twice before I was able to ring the bell. Sadly The Mister did not get a picture of me falling. Or of the delicious turkey leg that we shared.

Vacation Recap

Just a heads up this post is going to have tons of pictures from my vacation in Gulfport, MS. Speaking of vacations before heading out for a week long vacation it is wise to see what is happening in the town that you will be staying in, for example while we were in town Gulfport was hosting 'Scraping the Coast' which is basically a car show. I love me some car shows but the roads and restaurants were PACKED with people. Well now that I got that cleared up on with the show!

Look how tan 'Little Miss Sassy Pants' is! Ok that was not all from the trip she lives to be outside, she is a sun/water baby if I have ever seen one.

We ate at Shaggy's on the beach and it was AMAZING! I had the seafood pasta and it had the right amount of spice TONS of seafood and I devoured the whole thing! Even the french fries were wonderful, they were crunchy and had crawfish boil seasoning on them(YUMMY). Little miss got a monster cookie for making a happy plate, how cute is that?

The gang decided to let off some road rage on the track so we headed to the go kart racing. Little Miss didn't want to ride so we jumped on the moon bounce and completely missed the Mister being spun out twice, once by Momma C then by Candice(JR). I am so sad I missed out on that one it would have been SO funny!

She was SUPER sassy this weekend, like annoying everyone had to have her way spoiled sassy, but she had her sweet moments like this.

Someone was afraid of this gator so I had to take a picture with it to show Little Miss it was not scary.

We had to get out of the sun sometimes so we headed for some late night swimming.

We learned it is a little difficult to take under water pictures when you have long hair.

But sometimes the camera gods work in your favor and get these shots

'Canoe' believe it

Okay sorry I know that was horrible, but I had to, puns/word play are my favorite. Seriously we decided to take advantage of our beautiful weather and go for a canoe trip. 

 

Doesn't everybody canoe like this? Let the boys do the work while the ladies prop-up their feet. 

 

Or the ladies could turn the other way to face their man.  

But we mainly like to go for times like this. (sorry if my paleness blinded you, but I did keep my pastiness despite being in the sun for 4-5 hours)

Vacation Pictures

As promised I have pictures from my latest vacation.

Yes we went to the Frio again. It was so much fun!!

I love swings, and they still have the swing in the tree. It was a little less stable this year I felt like I was going to break the tree it was on (but that didn't stop me)!

And hanging out in Garner State Park. They have nightly dances on the weekend & it was super fun! I even got to see my neighbor they were leaving the same weekend we got there.

We even played a little Bocce Ball.
